Totorida – Deep Dive
About
Totorida is a mash-up of Totoro and Frida which makes for a perfect pop-surreal painting combining two pop-culture favorites.
This smaller painting rests in a shadowbox-like frame, which we nicked-named a Skye-box frame. This is hand crafted as well as hand painted to give the piece a contemporary look.
Imagery
Skye paints her Frida with a signature monobrow on Totoro.
Skye adorns Totoro with flowers reminiscent of Frida portraits.
The back panel is decorated wtih Otami patterns in homage to the native Mexican people.
