The Owl and the Pussy-Cat was inspired the non-sensical, surreal, Edward Lear poem. Here, Skye paints her interpretation of their portraits together.
This painting is one in several of her Fridaland series, where Skye does a mash-up of The Owl and the Pussy-Cat, Frida, and Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland.
In Skye’s mind, the Pussy-Cat goes off to lead the Mushroom Army aiding in the exchange of nutrients to help the Bong trees grow.
